More

Here you may spend time in traditional Japanese-style tatami room getting 120% of a real Japanese experience.

Tatami is one the most unique parts of the Japanese culture. It is one of the ancient Japanese flooring materials that has been favoured by Japanese people since the Heian period.

In Japan, you have to take off shoes before stepping on a tatami.

It is connected to the idea of "affection" towards one's home and a distinction between inside and outside relaxation forms in Japan. Please make sure you take off your shoes too before coming into tatami room. Enjoy your nap there as Japanese people do.

A traditional tatami flooring made by a special technology with a covering of woven soft rush straw will surely lead you to a comfortable sleep.

Four seasons scenery

Spring is all about fresh air and wisteria flowers that grow on green trees. When summer starts, the lush greenery expands even more and you can see beautiful artistic gradations.

In autumn, the colouring of trees turn red and yellow, and you can enjoy a calm atmosphere different from spring vibes.

As winter gets closer and leaves start to fall, the atmosphere makes us feel a warm and beautiful nostalgia.

In winter, the pure white sparkling snow covers everything around and makes us enjoy a totally different scenery (from spring and autumn).

In our ryokan you may spend time looking at the four seasons while relaxing in your room.

Tea ceremony and Ikebana

Fukuichi hall is always decorated with a traditional Ikebana.

Chanoyu Tea Ceremony and Ikebana are the ancient aspects of Japanese culture representing the Japanese mindset of hospitality centring around care rather than expectation.

Even nowadays, when people tend to adopt Western culture, it is valued as the unique culture and art that shapes the heart of hospitality to visitors.

In the lobby of our ryokan, there is a tea lounge too.

Seasonal flowers are decorated everywhere in the rooms and in the hall.
